Greetings From Joe We're seeking to love God. This begins with worship, adoration, and praise of God. Worship is communicate through praise and thanksgiving with the Savior and Lord of the world, opening the heart to listen and follow the God of all creation, accepting Jesus as personal Savior, and dedicating our lives to the Lord of life for faithful service to the world around us. This leads to us two styles of worship, the first singing hymns and the second singing contemporary Christian songs. During each worship service we provide childcare, and in our contemporary worship service children in grades 1st-4th have a special ministry for their needs. We're seeking to love the Lord by living for Jesus every day. It's my prayer for myself and each one of us, whether we are at church or at home; at school or at work; at rest or at play, that we live every day paying respect and giving praise to Jesus. We encourage one another to make time each day to read and study the Bible, along with talking to God in prayer. We give one another the tools to live for Jesus each day through several groups. Please take a moment and check out our links to the various ministries of First Baptist Church. Not only are these times to learn and discuss how we live for Jesus, but opportunities to be challenged and encouraged along our journey. We're seeking to love the Lord by being a light of God's salvation. Everybody reflects something through their attitudes, words, and actions. We've come to discover that Jesus is the light we need in our lives, because He saves us. So, it's become our desire to let others see how He's transforming our lives to be like Him. We're seeking to love the Lord by loving people we encounter each day. The questions we have ask ourselves: do my attitudes, my words, and my actions reflect the image of Jesus to other people? How am I doing at being compassionate? Am I a helpful person? Do others think of me as being gracious? What am I like at work, at home, at school, and at church? Not being perfect people, we seek to encourage one another to love those we encounter at home, at work, at school, and wherever we go. We hope that you will plan on joining us during the week for any of our activities. Come and join us on Sunday morning for a time of worship and teaching. I think that you will find that we are friendly people, encouraging and fun to be around. See you soon! May God bless. Joe Sanders |
